Policy consultation process

    Consultation forms part of the process for developing new policy documents and making major edits to existing policy documents.

    Consultation involves a genuine opportunity for all relevant people or groups to actively contribute and provide feedback in the development of departmental policy documents.

    Description of new procedure

    This 'Principal and Preschool Director (Band A) Tenure and Appointment Renewal Procedure' provides:

    • specific operational detail in relation to the determination of Band A tenure
    • specifies the process for appointment renewal for up to 10 years if sought by an incumbent Band A leader.
