In 2025, financial support is available for eligible students in country public schools to support participation in camps and excursions.

Applications are open until the allocated funding is exhausted, or until 31 December 2025.

Eligibility criteria

• Students in financial need as a result of drought attending a country public school.
• The camp or excursion must be linked to clearly identified learning objectives.
• The camp or excursion must occur in 2025.
• Up to $250 per student. Only one claim in 2025 can be made for each student.

Application process

• Families are not required to apply directly.
• Schools will apply for funding, and if successful, will advise families of student eligibility and will not charge them for the amount (up to $250) that may otherwise be required for the camp or excursion.
